Young Minds Champion the Planet 

Apeejay School, Rama Mandi, celebrated Earth Day with great enthusiasm by organising a series of creative and awareness-driven activities for students across different classes. The celebration aimed to inspire young learners to understand the importance of protecting the environment and encourage them to adopt eco-friendly habits in their daily lives.

To mark the occasion, the school organised various competitions that allowed students to express their thoughts about environmental conservation through art and creativity. Students from Classes IV and V participated in a Slogan Writing Activity, where they penned down impactful messages highlighting the need to save the planet. The young participants showcased remarkable creativity by crafting meaningful slogans that emphasised themes such as reducing pollution, conserving natural resources, and planting more trees. Through their thoughtful words, students conveyed strong messages about protecting the Earth for future generations.

Students of Class VI took part in a Poster Making Competition, where they expressed their environmental concerns and ideas through vibrant illustrations and artistic designs. Using colours, sketches, and creative visuals, the students depicted important environmental issues such as climate change, deforestation, and the importance of preserving biodiversity. Their posters reflected not only artistic talent but also a deep awareness of the challenges faced by the planet today.

For students of Classes VII and VIII, a Paper Bag Making Activity was organised to promote the concept of sustainability and reduce plastic use. During this hands-on activity, students created eco-friendly paper bags using simple materials and innovative designs. The activity helped them understand the harmful effects of plastic pollution and encouraged them to adopt environmentally responsible alternatives. It also allowed them to develop practical skills while reinforcing the idea that small actions can make a big difference in protecting the environment.

The Earth Day celebrations created an atmosphere of awareness, creativity, and responsibility across the school campus. Teachers guided and encouraged students throughout the activities, helping them reflect on the significance of environmental conservation and sustainable living.
