Union Minister launches Digital Skilling Initiative for 1 crore students
Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Education Minister has recently launched a digital skilling initiative for 1 crore students from class 7 onwards till graduation. The focus of this programme would be skilling, re-skilling and upskilling students through internships, apprenticeships and employment emerging in technologies.
He stated that this is a first-ever collaboration on a national scale between the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Skill and affiliated National Skill Development Corporations, Skill India Programmes and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Over 100 technology, corporate and manufacturing firms have already come on board with this platform to provide free-of-cost emerging technology certifications.
He has also called upon tech companies to synergise technology with Indian languages.
