The primary purpose of a school is to provide formal education, which includes academic subjects, social skills, and often extracurricular activities. In addition to academic education, schools may also contribute to the development of character, socialization, and the overall well-being of students. “I am happy that I selected the most ideal institute for my child that has made my dream of giving the best school life to my child come true,” Anu Sharma, whose son Hiten Sharma studies in class VI at Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg, Jalandhar, gushes.

Excerpts from the interview

How did you select Apeejay as an admission choice?

We surveyed all schools around our place and figured out that this branch of Apeejay holds a huge reputation for being the best co-ed school in the city. Our son was studying in another school up till class V and then we were told by our friends and family that this school would hone the skills of our child much better.

How are the teachers at this school?

We are blessed with an amazing set of supportive teachers. My son is a bit shy and an introvert. When we put this point across to the teachers, they patiently heard us and promised that within two years our son would become a much more confident and outgoing person.

How is the balance between extracurricular activities and studies?

There is a perfect blend of extracurricular activities and studies in this school. He has adapted well to the environment and participates in different kinds of activities that are organised. Cricket and annual day events are his favourite activities.

 Has Apeejay fulfilled your expectations?

Undoubtedly! The school has provided a plethora of opportunities for the wholesome growth of my son. He has learnt the value of punctuality and discipline in life and imbibed these qualities in his personality. Though the school holds a very fancy reputation, it treats all the students equally.

What does your son share with you about the school? My son shares mostly about his comfort level at school. There is no undue pressure on his studies and homework. He also tells me about new friends he made and the activities he participated in. Even when I have visited the school for PTMs, the teachers give very objective feedback that goes a long way in understanding my son’s overall growth.
