Her daughter has been at Apeejay School, Nerul, right from the beginning. Today she is in Class III. Her journey, the parent shared, has been wonderful. “If I talk about Apeejay School, I can only say good things about it. When my daughter entered the school, it was during the COVID-19 pandemic. Initially, it was very difficult to settle her, but the teachers were understanding and supportive,” Mitali Shetty, whose daughter, Shaanvi, is studying here, said.

In a candid interview, the parent shared what she loves about this school, among other things.

How did the teachers and school activities help Shanvi build confidence?

In the initial years, the children did struggle a little because it was a new experience for them, but the teachers were very supportive. I would especially mention the teacher from junior KG and from senior KG, who guided my daughter with a lot of care.

Through different activities and competitions, they learn to stand on stage, speak independently, and build confidence. In Shanvi’s case, she has been winning more than three prizes every year, and the school has helped her develop that inner drive to do things on her own.

What changes have you seen in Shanvi’s confidence and independence over the years?

She has become more independent and confident over the years. Whether it is drawing competitions, recitations, or fancy dress competitions, Apeejay School does things differently. The school brings in creativity and innovation, and children are also encouraged to speak about what they are presenting.

What activities does she enjoy?

We had enrolled her in a sports activity until last year. The Sport Guru has been helpful. Earlier, the children were comfortable with one another and would gel well as a group. Since it is a co-ed school, I feel mixed team activities can help them build better teamwork, mutual respect, and comfort with each other.

How has the parent-teacher communication been?

The teachers are always just a call away. If we need anything, they are always helpful. The teacher has always responded whenever I or any parent needed something. The teachers also take that much effort.

If you had to pick one major advantage that you have seen for Shaanvi, what would it be?

It is the platform that the school provides. It has made the children strong, and it has made my child strong too. The school gives every child a chance to speak, whether through show and tell or other class activities. This opportunity is not limited to selected children or top students. Everyone gets that opportunity. Even the homework has become more creative now. Shaanvi imagines, writes stories and letters, and makes her ideas, which is wonderful.
