‘This is the perfect school for my daughter’ 

Ms Devaki Saha is the mother of Myra, a class 1 student at Apeejay School, Faridabad, sector 15. Speaking about her daughter’s progress she shares, “My daughter loves the school so much that she insists on travelling in the school bus and stops us from dropping her.”

To begin with, we hope Myra is enjoying school?

Myra is extremely happy. She never says no when it comes to going to school. She has been attending school physically since kindergarten and by now her bond with the school has solidified even more. 

So, she must have made lots of friends by now?

Oh yes! She has made many friends and this reason coupled with her love for the extra-curricular activities is what drives her to school every day. She loves interacting with her friends and teacher.s She really enjoys the school environment. When I come home, she tells me all about her day at the school.

We would drop her to the school earlier but since the past year, we have put her in the school bus. And she loves it so much that she asks her not to drop her anymore (laughs)

What are her favourite subjects?

Myra loves Math, Art and Computers. She is quite diligent in the logic-based fields and is also picking up in English and Hindi.

What about sports?

She loves sports and extracurriculars as well. We have enrolled Myra in the school sports guru classes recently. She loves painting and dancing the most however. She has recently learnt creating new colours by colour mixing methods.

Are the teachers using any fun learning techniques?

Absolutely! They are using fun teaching concepts and are always engrossed in educating our children. Recently, they have been teaching how a plant germinates, and they have made children sow seeds and practically see how it sprouts.

Any recent achievements of your daughter?

Myra has picked up the pace in reading this year. She enjoys it and tries to read a lot of sentences. This is a big achievement for me. I think by the end of this academic session, she will be able to read full sentences.

So you are fully satisfied with this school?

Yes I am! This is the perfect school. I will explain this through an anecdote. My daughter loves swimming, so I had enrolled her in swimming classes outside the school initially. However, when we parents spoke with the school to start a swimming activity, they listened to our feedback and began with the Splash Pool activity.
