‘The school always contributes towards the best for my kids’

Though the course syllabus is similar for all schools, what really differentiates one from the other is the pedagogical approach used by the teachers. Should the onus be more on theory or practical perspective has been a debatable point of view. But for a parent like Parul Mahajan whose kids Prayan and Kayaan, studying in class VI and III respectively, a practical approach to education yields the best results. For this, she expresses her gratitude towards the teachers of Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg, Jalandhar whose never-ending support has helped her children achieve the maximum.

Excerpts from the interview. 

How is Apeejay honing your kids?

Everything so far is going great. The school promotes practical aspects of teaching and learning to a large extent which I feel is extremely helpful for my kids since they learn and understand the concepts better. English language is given specific preference at the school because the teachers aim to build a strong hold on communication skills amongst students.

 How did you select Apeejay as an admission choice?

Apeejay is one of the most renowned educational institutes in Jalandhar. Even in my family, almost all the elders are alumni of this school only. So when I was on the verge of deciding the best school for my sons, Apeejay was our family’s first choice.

 How are the teachers at the school?

They are definitely approachable. We can contact the teachers easily when we have to discuss something important regarding our children. My children like the Hindi, Math and Punjabi subject teachers a lot. Every teacher makes extra special effort towards my sons to make them learn different course subjects.

How often do you interact with your children?

It’s daily. After my sons come back from the school, they will each tell me long stories about their day at the school. I feel happy to see my children doing so well at the school.

 How are the facilities at the school?

Since this particular branch of Apeejay is quite old, the school underwent a lot of revamping in terms of facilities. A new auditorium was built for the students recently where all major events take place now. The new principal of the school is really taking steps towards building improvised infrastructure and better facilities in the school.

How well do you agree with the adage – school is the second home for the child?

My children are super excited to go to school daily. Never have they told me that they don’t like the school or its environment. Both my sons have formed an appreciable friend circle at school. Most importantly, the school never pressurises any student to study full time nor burdens them too much.
