Apeejay International School, Greater Noida, organised an educational excursion trip for students of classes Nursery to 5 to Kidzania, Noida. This was an experiential learning activity in the man-made city that provided them with unique opportunities to learn about 100 exciting career options. During the trip, they worked in teams as well as brushed up their social skills.

Ms. Priyanka Sharma, mother of Nursery student Iriska Yadav says, “My child was very happy after returning home from the trip. From the time of taking admission in Apeejay, she has been interested in dancing. At Kidzania too, she got a chance to explore her skills. She is very young right now and is gradually learning about the world around her. I am happy to see her growth and development at the school.”

Be it painting, marketing, programming or cooking, students performed hands-on tasks similar to what one does in a real-world scenario. This activity helped them to take their pick on their desired careers. It was a fun-filled and enriching experience as children went home with sweet memories.

Mother of Ishaan, a class 2 student, Ms. Renu Pal says, “Both my children got a chance to visit Kidzania from the school. They came back happy and excited. Ishaan is seeming more inclined towards a career as an astronaut. He loves to know more about space. And my daughter, Avni, who is in class 8, wants to join the Civil Services. The visit enhanced their know-how of these professions.”

Ms. Mamta Maurya, students Anwesha and Ritiksha’s mother says, “Both my daughters had a great time at Kidzania. For at least a week, they kept sharing instances from their trip. The school has taken up a good initiative to make them learn and my daughters are keen to visit the place again.”

Sharing the same sentiment, Ms. Priyanka Tiwari says, “My son Satwik wants to go there again! He enjoyed being with his friends and teachers. The most thrilling activity for him was the pizza-making time.”

“I would like to say, in the words of Mr. Jim Stovell, the famous artificial intelligence researcher, who once said that education is a lifelong journey whose destination expands as you travel. I believe that students of the school are also learning through such fun-filled and experiential activities.”
