Student council at a Jalandhar school pledges to perform duties to the best of their abilities

The elected prefectorial board was conferred badges at the investiture ceremony

Apeejay School Tanda Road, Jalandhar, held an investiture ceremony to formally appoint its student council. The council was formed after a rigorous and democratic process to don the mantle of leadership while carrying out responsibilities with utmost dedication.

The ceremony began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp. This was followed by the chanting of spiritual shlokas by students of classes IV, V, VI, and VII. The school choir sang the school anthem: ‘Soaring High is my Nature’ which reverberated through the room.

The student prefects were conferred badges and sashes by Girish Kumar, the school principal, and Deepti Kaushal, the school coordinator. The elected council pledged to dispense their duties to the best of their abilities and abide by the rules and regulations of the school.

The prefectorial board included Head Boy Helik Aman Jairath, Head Girl Noor Kohli, Sports Captain Himanish Sharma, House Captains, Vice Captains as well as Prefects of all four houses.

The principal congratulated the student council and guided them to be role models for the other students by exhibiting exemplary behaviour and moral values as nation-builders of tomorrow.

The school coordinator also went on to congratulate the elected leaders and wished them good luck in their future endeavours.
