Tell us about your Judo achievements.

I’ve been in this sport since two years and each year I participated in the zonal competitions. I secured second and third position in the Judo and Kurash category in 2022. I secured the third position in the Judo category in 2023. I secured the second position this year in the Kurash category along with third position in Judo category.

How has Judo changed your life?

It has helped in keeping me in shape and making me more agile than I was earlier. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we all had become lethargic and lazy so Judo brought a change in me. And has since helped me to be healthy and fit. Another important aspect that this sport taught me was discipline and resilience.

How did Apeejay support your sports journey?

My school has been really supportive in my journey, especially our Physical Education teacher, who believed in me and kept giving me the motivation to strive for more and excel in this sport. I am grateful to the school teacher who introduced me to this great sport and since then I have been continuing my journey ahead.

Would you like to pursue this sport professionally?

Honestly, I find this sport interesting and I always wanted to learn martial arts however academics is my first option always but this sport  is definitely my plan B if things don’t go as planned.

What does your training regime look like?

One of the main ways to maintain agility I ensure that I workout at least four times a week and keep my schedule flexible to accommodate some physical movement. For this, I always try to go for the morning coaching provided in our school and occasionally when I get enough time I visit my coaching centre as well.

Who is your inspiration and why?

My inspiration have always been my teachers who set a great example to us. They are the ones who have believed in me and helped me strive for perfection in every field.

Any special diet you follow to continue in this sport?

Not really. I ensure that I’m consuming homemade food and minimise foods rich in fats. I ensure I eat enough carbs and proteins.
