Students of Apeejay School, Model Town, embarked on a meaningful journey of self-discovery, empathy, and emotional well-being through the ‘Divine Soul Jar Activity’, organised as part of the British Council Project. Conducted over three days, the activity created a reflective and nurturing environment where students explored the values of positivity, gratitude, resilience, mindfulness, peace, and kindness through thoughtful expression and shared experiences.
The initiative aimed to encourage students to connect with their emotions while understanding the importance of compassion and emotional strength in everyday life. Inspired by teachings from The Bhagavad Gita and various global philosophies, students engaged in activities that promoted introspection and meaningful dialogue. They carefully crafted messages carrying words of encouragement, hope, and positivity, which were later placed into the ‘Divine Soul Jar’.
Each message reflected the students’ personal understanding of emotional well-being and human values. Through their writings, they shared thoughts about overcoming challenges, appreciating small joys, showing empathy towards others, and maintaining inner peace during difficult times. The activity also encouraged them to draw connections between these timeless teachings and real-life experiences, making the learning process deeply personal and relatable.

The atmosphere throughout the programme was filled with warmth, sincerity, and positivity as students enthusiastically participated in discussions and reflective exercises. The simple act of writing and sharing thoughtful notes helped foster a sense of belonging and emotional connection among peers. Students realised how even a few kind words can uplift someone’s spirit and create a lasting impact.
Teachers appreciated the enthusiasm and sensitivity displayed by the students during the activity. They highlighted how such initiatives play an important role in nurturing emotionally aware and compassionate individuals, while also promoting mental and emotional well-being within the school community.
The ‘Divine Soul Jar Activity’ beautifully reinforced the message that emotional strength and kindness are essential qualities for personal growth and harmonious relationships. By combining ancient wisdom with modern perspectives on wellbeing, the initiative successfully encouraged students to become more mindful, reflective, and empathetic individuals.









Through this enriching experience, Apeejay School, Model Town, once again demonstrated its commitment towards holistic education, where academic learning goes hand in hand with emotional development and value-based learning. The activity left students inspired with the understanding that small acts of positivity and encouragement have the power to brighten lives and spread hope within the community.
