The National Standard Examination in Junior Science (NSEJS) was conducted in January 2021 by Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT). The examination held for senior school students is considered one of the most difficult Science exams at school-level. Somesh, a student of grade X at Apeejay School, Nerul in Navi Mumbai was placed among National top 1% selected students in Part-I of the exam. He received a certificate of Merit and has further qualified for evaluation of Part II of the paper. He is the only student from Navi Mumbai to have secured this rank among 10013 enrolled candidates.

“More than aptitude it is the attitude that decides the altitude. I would say that it is the dedicated and combined efforts of the child, parents, and teachers which has led to the outcome.  At Apeejay School, Nerul, we ensure that we give time to our children to come up with doubts and we clarify those. Even during the Covid-19 pandemic, we have made provisions to see that a child learns conveniently. For us, excellence is a habit.”
