Rainy-The golden reindeer

Once upon a time, there lived a happy reindeer in the deep snowy forests of Canada. Her name was Rainy. She loved to play around. One day, as usual, she was playing around. Suddenly, she felt something bumpy under her feet as if she had stepped on something. She dug the place with her strong paws.

She found a pen. Its ink was golden in colour. Suddenly, a flash of light appeared. After it went away, to her surprise, the pen was not in her hand! She was sad but determined to find it.

She searched for it everywhere she could but couldn’t find it. As her last resort, she went to the nearest frozen lake. But instead, she found something even more surprising. She had turned all golden! She understood everything.

At once she ran to the place where she had found the pen earlier. She saw a note on the ground and rushed to read it.

It said- “This is a magical golden pen. It belongs to the god of knowledge and wisdom. It merges into the person holding it if he/she is eligible.” She was thrilled to know that she was eligible for something! But a question popped into her mind. “Why was she eligible for a pen?”- she thought.

Suddenly, a voice was heard from the sky. “Rainy, you are eligible because you are always happy and satisfied.”- it said in its thunderous voice. After a few days, she became famous among all the animals and after a week, they crowned her their queen.

Though she was the queen and could enjoy the royal food, she preferred finding and eating her food herself. And though she could enjoy the royal garden which had all the plants of the forest, she preferred roaming around the forest herself, especially the place where she had found the pen earlier and which had changed her life.

Moral: We should always be happy and satisfied like Rainy. Maybe we may even find the golden pen and turn golden if we are eligible!
