National Youth Day, commemorating Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary was observed at Apeejay School, Kharghar on January 10, 2024. The event saw the active participation of students, teachers, and staff, fostering a sense of unity among diverse cultural, ethnic, and religious groups within the school community.

The day’s celebration commenced with a morning assembly focused on the theme Youth for Global Harmony. Drawing inspiration from the profound teachings of Swami Vivekananda, the assembly featured an impactful quote, urging everyone to “Stand up, be bold, be strong. Take that responsibility on your shoulders and know that you are the creator of your destiny. Arise, awake, and stop not until the goal is achieved.” The assembly also included speeches emphasising the essence of building a progressive youth population.


A key highlight of the event was the emphasis on the significance of education and skill development for the school’s youth, underscoring the role of education in personal growth and societal progress. The assembly reached its conclusion with a soulful bhajan performed by the school choir, adding a musical touch to the commemoration.

The event extended beyond the assembly, featuring various activities for students from classes I to XI. Activities like crafting bookmarks, poster making, and slogan writing, were aligned with the theme and adorned with insightful quotes by Swami Vivekananda. A story screening provided participants with an enlightening experience, delving into the life of Swami Vivekananda and offering valuable insights into his teachings and philosophy.

The celebration of National Youth Day at Apeejay School, Khaghar showcased the talents of the students, who actively and enthusiastically participated in the various activities, contributing to a vibrant and spirited event.
