MBA students attend an engaging seminar on International business & diversified opportunities

Experts at Apeejay School of Management share insights on the subject

International business involves the global exchange of goods, services, and capital across borders. For MBA students, venturing into international business is lucrative due to its vast opportunities for career growth. It offers exposure to diverse markets, cultures, and economies, honing skills in negotiation, strategy, and cross-cultural management. With the increasing globalisation of industries, an MBA in international business equips students to navigate the complexities and seize opportunities in the global marketplace.

To familiarise MBA students of Apeejay School of Management, Dwarka, the institute recently organsied a seminar on “International Business Area and Opportunities”. Organised under the International Business Cell and coordinated by Prof. Anuj Kumar, Assistant Professor at ASM, the seminar was attended by PGDM first-year students. 

There day-long seminar featured two sessions. The first session was delivered by Mr. Umesh Rishi, Head- Market Intelligence at DSM-Firmenich, who joined the seminar in offline mode. An alumnus of ASM, he introduced the students about diversified career opportunities internationally. 

The second session was delivered by Dr. Prabha Kiran, International Marketing Consultant working in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, who addressed the students virtually. The speakers highlighted about the profiles handled by international business students in the corporate and what are the opportunities for freshers in the market. The students were very enthusiastic for the session as going forward these students will be selecting the specialisation in the coming trimester. 

An MBA student Amandeep Jaiswal shared, “The session on international business as career was very insightful and knowledgeable as the speakers Mr. Umesh Rishi and Dr. Prabha Kiran gave the insiders for international business.”

Another student Khushi Saha highlighted, “The sessions were really an eye-opening experience as the speakers combined their expertise and told us about the opportunities.
