If one looks at the world objectively, undoubtedly, science has played a godly role in making life easier for all of us. Be it medicinal cures or other technological marvels in various domains, science has taken life light years ahead in quality.

Apeejay School, Tanda Road, Jalandhar knows the importance of science and always strives to cultivate a love for this subject amongst their students.  In sync with this thought, the school recently hosted an inspiring Science exhibition titled ‘Explore Imagination’ showcasing the creativity and scientific curiosity of the students from the Pre-Primary wing.

The event aimed to foster a love for science and exploration among the young minds. Pre-primary students made various models of simple and fun scientific experiments. The Nursery student’s models exhibited a delightful understanding of fundamental concepts ranging from the human sense organs and body parts to the diversity of the types of houses and the towering structures of skyscrapers. Their exploration extended to the natural world with models depicting fruits with seeds, farmhouses and various types of birds. Furthermore, the inclusion of models on seed germination, parts of plants, and sources of water demonstrated the breadth of their inquisitive minds.

On the other hand, the LKG student’s presentations showcased a deeper understanding of scientific principles. Their models on the solar system, pollution and the mechanism of day and night reflected a firm grasp on celestial and environmental concepts. The intricate models of the food chain system demonstrated their ability to comprehend complex systems while representations of parts of plants and the water cycle displayed a commendable hold on biological processes in nature. The exploration of various sources of water added a practical and environmental dimension to their exhibits.

The UKG students delved into more advanced topics, illustrating a keen interest in Earth’s dynamics. Models on the rotation of the Earth, greenhouse effect and water pollution demonstrated an awareness of major global phenomena. The inclusion of biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste showcased an understanding of environmental responsibility. Exhibits on the revolution of Earth, plants and the life cycle of butterflies highlighted their botanical knowledge while models portraying the food chain pyramid and the process of photosynthesis emphasised their grasp of ecological processes.

Furthermore, some of their models encouraged environmental awareness such as the Save Earth and volcano eruption models.  While the First Aid model showcased a holistic approach to science education, focussing on practical life-saving skills as well.

Speaking about the success of the exhibition, school coordinator, Ms. Deepti Kaushal acknowledged the student’s hard work and creativity. She mentioned, “Such exhibitions are pivotal in nurturing a scientific temperament in the learners from a young age. I urge all parents to encourage their children’s interest in science. Because science can truly empower the human race.”
