Karnataka CM urges parents to send their children to schools

Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai urged parents to send their wards to schools that opened from August 23. “The government has given special instructions and standard operating procedures have been issued to government, aided and private institutions permitting them to resume classes physically. As decided earlier, classes will resume only in districts where the test positivity rate is below 2 per cent,” he said.  “Along with the Primary and Secondary Education Minister B.C. Nagesh, I will visit the schools in Bengaluru to ensure that everything is alright. Parents should get vaccinated and monitor their children once they are back from school. We intend to bring children back to school,” the CM added.
