In a collaborative effort between the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) and the Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) at Apeejay Institute of Management and Engineering Technical Campus in Rama Mandi, Jalandhar (AIMETC), students embarked on an enriching industrial visit. The primary objective of the visit was to immerse the students in a practical working environment, fostering a deeper understanding of the intricacies within the telecommunication industry.

Led by faculty coordinator Mr. Rohit Verma from the School of IT, the visit catered specifically to first-semester students pursuing BCA and BTECH (CSE). The destination for this insightful experience was BSNL in Jalandhar, where students had the privilege of interacting with industry professionals.

Mr. Naresh (SDE), Mr. Sumit (SDE), and Mr. Rohit Sarangal (SDO) at BSNL played pivotal roles during the visit, providing valuable guidance on various facets of the telecommunication industry. Their expertise served as a bridge between theoretical knowledge and real-world application.

The students’ enthusiasm was palpable as they explored the BSNL industrial plant, actively engaging with the practical aspects of telecommunication operations. This firsthand experience proved instrumental in bridging the gap between classroom learning and industry dynamics.

The initiative received accolades from Dr. Rajesh Bagga, the Director of AIMETC, who acknowledged the commendable efforts of the various clubs at AIMETC. Dr. Bagga emphasized the importance of such initiatives in providing students with tangible and applicable experiences, thereby enriching their educational journey.

In conclusion, the Industrial Visit to BSNL not only broadened students’ perspectives on the telecommunication industry but also underscored the commitment of AIMETC towards holistic education, blending theory with practical exposure. Such initiatives contribute significantly to nurturing well-rounded professionals prepared for the challenges of the evolving industrial landscape.
