India clinches T20 world Cup in historic victory

On 29th June 2024, we witnessed a historic event when India won the T20 World Cup in a thrilling match. 

It was the first time when I and my cousin watched the whole match. 

Before it, I was not interested in cricket at all. But when I watched the last few overs of the semi-final match and saw everyone getting excited over India winning and reaching the finals, I also got interested. 

The whole day of 29th June, I eagerly awaited 8:00 pm and the match to start. Seeing everyone around me nervous for the match results even before it started, increased my excitement also.

When the match started, I just stuck to the screens and enjoyed the moments when the players of Team India batted really well and set a big target for the other team.

But when the second innings started and the other team was also playing really well to achieve the target, we got tensed. 

Once everyone thought that India would lose the match and we even turned off the TV out of the stress. But soon after a major catch out of the other team, we all felt hope for India and turned on the TV again.  

Everyone was too nervous while staring at the screen. And finally, India won the match and everyone on the cricket ground started celebrating. It was really a proud moment when the Team took a Lap of honour with our Tricolour in the stadium and when they received the same trophy again after 17 years. The whole nation was celebrating the success and surely it was a memorable moment for every Indian.
