It is imperative to study at a school that not only addresses academics but enables your well-rounded development. Such an approach helps to develop a broader perspective and evoke an ability to navigate bigger challenges contributing to overall success.

One such school is Apeejay School. Therefore, parents like Sunny Singla, the father of Deevansh, a student of class VIII studying at Apeejay School, Tanda Road, ensure that their ward studies here.

In a candid interview, the father talks about how his son’s skills were honed at this school.

How has been your child’s experience so far in this school?

My son’s experience at this school has been exceptionally positive. The school has truly become a place he loves and looks forward to going. Over the years, Deevansh has only been doing well academically. He has also become a more disciplined and confident individual.

Why did you choose this school?

I am an Apeejayite; I studied at Apeejay School (Model Town branch), and I knew the positive aspects that the school holds. Since my personal experience at the school was so phenomenal I saw no reason why my son should not study here. A decision that I have not regretted even once.

Is Deevansh active in any extracurricular activities?

My son does not have a knack for sports but he very much enjoys painting. He is immersed in this art form. His hobby has now become a passion and he gifts his paintings to family and friends on special occasions like Diwali and Holi.

What is your parenting mantra?

I believe in the mantra of never forcing my child to follow anything that I may have wanted to do when I was his age. Hence, I never put pressure on or restrict my son in things that concern his academics or hobbies/passion

Have you had a conversation about his professional goals?

Definitely. Deevansh and I share a good father-son relationship. He shares lots of things. When it comes to his career choice, he has expressed his desire to sit for the Civil Services and become an IAS officer. I am impressed by his clear and ambitious goal for his professional journey at such a young age.

How do you support his education at home?

His mother is very knowledgeable about a lot of things and has also pursued BEd back in her educational journey. Generally, she is the one who teaches him. Although he is a bright kid most of the time, he requires a little push once in a while.

How do you spend quality time with him?

Since I run a catering business, I get little time to spend with him. But whenever I have time, we spend that together; we either go out to explore new places or stay home and play indoor games.

Which is one thing that you appreciate most about this school?

Even if a child is mediocre, an Apeejayite can achieve anything in life. For instance, when I was in school, I was a below-average student. But what mattered the most was that Apeejay helped me transform not just academically but holistically. This approach will also help Deevansh reach greater heights ahead.
