Teachers play a crucial role in helping children learn communication skills. Effective communication is not only essential for academic success but also for social and personal development, propounds Priyanka Sharma, mother of Jayant and Nishant who are studying in class VI and II respectively at Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri.

 Excerpts from the interview

Why did you select Apeejay for admission?

There are children (cousins of Jayant) in our joint family who are studying in Apeejay and I have noticed how well they are performing. Moreover, I have noticed the excellent communication skills each child is having. After observing such great traits I decided to put both my children in this school. I am sure my children will receive a disciplined and great scholastic environment here.

How are the teachers at this school?

My interaction with teachers here is always pleasant and cordial. They are extremely helpful to both children and parents. I have never faced any serious issues or problems with them so far. I would like to especially mention that the teachers here are quite well experienced too, they know how to handle the kids at school perfectly.

Are any special techniques used by the teachers here?

The teachers here use teaching aids in the school that help the children learn and understand the concepts much better. The school curriculum doesn’t believe in only bookish learning these aids they use go a long way in making sure that the child doesn’t lose interest in learning at any point in time. Such aids are really helpful for both my kids and I like this approach by the teachers.

How is the balance between extracurricular activities and studies here?

Both Jayant and Nishant are actively involved in football at school. Jayant even won a silver medal at the recently held racing competition and he felt super happy about it. Besides that, there are cultural activities organised at the school like Annual Day in which Jayant participates enthusiastically. My younger one, Nishant enjoys activities like poem recitation and essay writing.

How much do you agree with the adage – that school is the second home for a child?

I fully agree with this saying, after all, there are certain virtues and qualities that a child can only learn in a school. Positive qualities like good communication skills, discipline, and subject-related learning are a few things that a child learns there.

How has Apeejay made a positive impact on your children?

There has been a lot of personal development in both of my children since the time they started going to school. Apart from that, the level of speaking skills is perfect here, Jayant and Nishant have learnt to communicate and write so well and that makes me feel so proud.
