Recently, Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, hosted a deeply moving Mother’s Day assembly led by the students of Class XII-C. The event was not just a tribute to the unconditional love of mothers but a reminder to express gratitude through small, meaningful acts every single day. With emotions running high, the celebration touched every heart in the audience.

The assembly began with a thought-provoking skit. It highlighted how simple, everyday gestures – a hug, a thank you, or helping out at home – can be more meaningful than grand statements. The performance resonated deeply with the audience, encouraging reflection on how we often take our mothers for granted.

Poetry, dance, and powerful performances

Following the skit, a touching poem gave voice to a child’s affection for their mother. Its emotional verses spoke of warmth, sacrifice, and boundless love.

This was followed by a graceful dance, beautifully capturing the essence of the mother-child bond.

To conclude the performances, a lively act by the boys brought energy and enthusiasm to the stage, adding a cheerful spirit to the heartfelt event.

A video that touched hearts

The most impactful moment came with a video montage featuring student messages to their mothers. Each clip was a window into the students’ personal feelings – some brought tears, others evoked laughter. The video left a lasting impression and was met with warm applause.

Words that will stay

Vice-principal Ms Vandana Bansal addressed the gathering with sincerity and warmth. She spoke about the need to cherish mothers daily, not just on Mother’s Day. Her message about respect, love, and consistency in expressing gratitude deeply connected with the audience.

Ms Jyotsana Madan, Class Teacher of XII-C, shared her pride in leading a heartfelt Mother’s Day assembly that resonated deeply with all present. “The event highlighted that a mother’s love deserves daily celebration. Students conveyed strong messages about valuing their mothers, recognising their sacrifices, and expressing consistent love. A touching moment included extending Mother’s Day wishes to teachers, honouring them as nurturing figures,” she shared.

Ms Madan emphasised that such assemblies play a vital role in shaping emotional intelligence, gratitude, and empathy, reminding students to appreciate the unwavering love and care they receive from women both at home and in school.

At Apeejay Panchsheel Park, events like these do more than entertain — they inspire.
