The CBSE’s internationally renowned curriculum, CBSE-International (CBSE-i), has gained significant recognition in 240 schools spanning 26 countries.

Since its inception in 2010, CBSE-i has successfully addressed the educational requirements of Indian families living abroad. Acknowledging its efficacy and adherence to global standards, the Indian government is now planning to extend its presence in schools worldwide. It may even collaborate with school boards in other countries, particularly those in developed nations.

Shreevats Jaipuria, Chair of the Education Committee at PHDCCI, has highlighted the significance of these collaborations in improving the quality of school education in India.

As India holds the G20 presidency this year, wider partnerships with school boards will enhance educational opportunities for Indian students. Further, the CBSE-International curriculum has garnered praise for its ability to cater to diverse learning styles while maintaining high academic standards.

By expanding the International Board, the government hopes to provide students with access to global possibilities and encourage cross-cultural learning. This initiative is in line with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP), positioning India as a model for educational reform in emerging nations.
