In a vibrant celebration of India’s remarkable achievements in space exploration, the National Service Scheme (NSS) and Rotaract Club of Apeejay Stya University (ASU), Gurugram, came together to organise a series of engaging activities to mark the successful launch of Chandrayaan-3 by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). This event not only showcased the spirit of scientific advancement but also promoted creativity and knowledge-sharing among the students of both clubs.

The event began with a poster-making competition, where students exhibited their artistic talents by creating visually captivating posters depicting Chandrayaan-3’s significance and its journey to explore the lunar frontier. The posters were a vibrant fusion of colours and ideas, reflecting the enthusiasm and creativity of the participants.

Following the poster-making competition, the intellectual excitement continued with a quiz competition that tested the participants’ knowledge about Chandrayaan-3, ISRO’s achievements, and general space science. The quiz was a riveting battle of wits, with participants showcasing their expertise in the field of space exploration.

One of the standout aspects of this event was the collaboration between the NSS and Rotaract Club, fostering unity and camaraderie among the university’s student organisations. This joint effort allowed students to exchange ideas, learn from each other, and develop a sense of community that extends beyond the classroom.

The successful organisation of this event not only celebrated India’s achievements in space exploration but also served as an inspiration for students to pursue careers in science, technology, and space research. It highlighted the importance of such missions in advancing our understanding of the universe.

Vibhuti Verma, a 3rd year student from the Integrated Biotechnology programme and President of Rotaract club expressed, “Competitions like quizzes and poster making promote the interests of students and allow them to gather knowledge on the #hottopics of India. These events and competitions are a way to express our joy and gratitude towards the success of our Nation.”

As the event concluded, it left an indelible mark on all participants, reinforcing the significance of science and unity in the pursuit of knowledge and progress.
