By installing the idol of Siddhi Vinayak Ganpati on the occasion of Bhadradh Shukla paksh, Shri Ganesh Chaturthi, Apeejay School Charkhi Dadri taught students the virtue of respect towards religion.

At the ceremony, Principal Mr. Rudrendra Basak lit the lamp, offered flowers, doob grass, fruits and sweets to Lord Ganesha, praying for the well-being and success of the school. Gathered to welcome Lord Ganesha to his earthly abode, students, parents and teachers prayed for each other’s good health during the Corona-19 pandemic. They bowed down in humility in front of the Almighty. Junior school students attended the event virtually as they created paintings, idols of Ganapati at home.

Mr. Basak addressed the students by pointing out that iconic freedom fighter Lokmanya Balgangadhar Tilak had taken the festival celebration to public places in Maharashtra to awaken a feeling of oneness and patriotism during India’s freedom struggle from the British. It, therefore, is a festival of patriotic fervour along with religious celebration.

“May the Lord bless us all and shower upon us success in our endeavours. I pray we find the strength to overcome challenges that the pandemic has posed us with. Ganapati Bappa Morya!”

-Mr. Rudrendra Basak, Principal, Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri
