There’s nothing that compares to the joy of returning home to a loyal companion. The unconditional love of a pet can truly do more than just keeping companionship. It can reduce stress, improve heart health and aid in the development of children’s emotional and social skills.

However, people who have pets at their homes, should be responsible enough to take care of their pets. We often hear people dismissing pets as “just” animals, as if they aren’t significant in our lives. Such individuals haven’t truly experienced the loyalty of a dog or the affection of a cat. Their words are far from the truth. And, most pet owners understand the wonder of having an animal in their lives, appreciating the beautiful bond formed between animals and humans.

I often find it difficult to comprehend why people bring these pets into their lives if they are not willing to give them a lasting place in their hearts and homes. Just give it a thought, will you like it, if in your old age your kids or family throw you out? The answer will be no. Then how we can implement these to the lives of these creatures. It was our choice to separate these newly born kids (puppies from their mother) and to bring them to our house. Therefore, it is our responsibility too to keep them forever with us as a part of our families.

Notably, animals do not ask for much in life. Most of them simply need a warm, safe and sheltered place to live in along with adequate food, water and exercise. In return, they give unconditional love, loyalty and companionship. Dogs are renowned to offer unconditional love while cats can be a bit more fickle! Nevertheless, having a furry friend means you will always have a little living being, waiting patiently for you at home and ready to welcome you with a wagging tail or a soothing purr.

It’s incredible how much support an animal can bring. Pets can be lifesavers when it comes to depression and grief. They can give you a sense of purpose and reason to get out of bed, especially when you are feeling down or anxious.

Owning a pet will profoundly transform your life and fill it with so much joy and love. They help us develop a sense of responsibility, offer us unconditional love, and are there for us when we need them.

Recently, I was deeply pained when a friend mentioned that they were putting their pet up for sale, hoping to get more than their initial purchase price. They further stated, “We want to sell at the cost more than the buying cost”. This upset me a great deal.

To all the readers out there, please remember that pets give our lives new meaning and purpose. If you cannot provide them with a permanent place in your life, kindly refrain from bringing them into your homes.
