Dancing towards a healthy lifestyle

Dance is poetry through body movements. It is a great way of human expression which includes multiple emotions. Upon receiving a very joyous news, the body automatically bursts into simple dance steps. Dance is also the gateway to a healthy lifestyle. After all, it is exercise in a fun way. The new Zumba classes trend will surely account for that.

Apeejay School, Tanda Road, Jalandhar, has always promoted art forms and healthy living. Thereby, to honour the dancing skills of students, a Solo Dance Competition for Pre Primary students of the school was recently organised. The tiny tots were thrilled to be a part of the colourful and energising event. Different kinds of dances were performed by the enthusiastic toddlers.

Ms. Pankhuri Kumar, Principal, Kumar Silver Bell School, Jalandhar presided over as the chief guest for the event. Ms Kumar applauded every participant for their adorable performance. She mentioned, “Dance is very important in our lives. I encourage all you students to participate in more competitions to exhibit your talents.”

Ms. Deepti Kaushal, coordinator of Apeejay School, Tanda Road, complimented the efforts put in by all the participants and congratulated them for the mesmerising performances. She said, “Competitions are a great platform to prepare the children to compete with the world. The young Apeejayites exhibited their talent in the solo dance competition by giving scintillating performances that left everyone spellbound.”

She further added, “Dance not only develops physical strength in children, but also helps them find a good sense of rhythm, form and flow. I congratulate all the winners and appreciate the efforts of all the participants.”
