Covid-19 norms for schools reopening in Mumbai

As schools of the state get ready to begin the new academic year, the government has issued Covid-19 related guidelines amidst rising cases. The guidelines insist on booster shots for teaching and non-teaching staff, and the schools have been asked to encourage vaccination among children above 12-years of age.

The school education department has issued a Government Resolution (GR) regarding the beginning of the new academic year. Apart from reiterating the school reopening dates, the resolution dated June 10 also lists different precautions to be taken by the schools in case students test Covid-19 positive.
