How did you feel about winning 1st position?
When the result for the second round finally came late at night, I was so happy about getting the top position in the Innovation category. I also secured an overall 11th position out of 108 teams in the final round. I am really happy that my 1 month’s hard work paid off really well as it was also my first Hackathon that I had participated in.
How did you get selected for this AI Hackathon?
There were basically 2 different rounds, in our first round we had to submit our idea for the project for any 1 problem statement out of 10 problem statements that were provided by the Hackathon committee. I had to submit a PPT which was mandatory to submit for the registration for the first round and 1 video which was optional and but i had submitted it too, the registration was free and i got selected for the final round which was the second round in which i had to present my project to them on online meeting.
How many competitors were part of this?
After the first round selection, there were total of 108 teams that were gotten selected for final round for the presentation and my team was one of it, i was the sole member of my team and sole Developer of the project
What was your project about and how did you prepare for it?
My project was about personalised AI Chatbot which I named it “Wednesday”.It has various features like:
1. AI Chatbot
2. Machine Translation
3. Face Recognition
4. Sentimental Analysis
5. Windows Automation
6. Mobile Automation
My project was on fully secured AI Chatbot which could also work from Windows to Android. It took my 1 month to prepare “Wednesday”, I took the help of youtube to learn new things for my project which i didn’t knew yet like Sentiment analysis, Machine Translation and i took guidance from my teachers too who helped me a lot with the process and i am really thankful to them for their efforts on me and giving me their precious time.
How did Apeejay support you to participate in this?
I got to know about this Hackathon from the WhatsApp group that my Dean has made for students like me and he posted various links for us in that group including upcoming Hackathons. As I saw the news about the Agentic AI Hackathon that was being organised by Ulster University, UK, I instantly texted Dean Sir that I want to take part in this.. So yes, if he hadn’t sent the link to that group, I wouldn’t have gotten to know about this Hackathon. Even throughout the process, my teachers helped me a lot and guided me throughout the process. I am really thankful to them for their efforts.
