Basant Panchami, a festival that heralds the arrival of spring and is dedicated to Goddess Saraswati, was celebrated with great fervor at Apeejay School, Rama Mandi, Jalandhar. The occasion, which symbolises wisdom, learning, and enlightenment, was marked by various vibrant and spiritually uplifting activities.
The celebration commenced with the soulful rendition of Saraswati Vandana, invoking the blessings of the Goddess of Knowledge. This was followed by the traditional Aarti, performed by Principal Mr. A.K. Sharma, Vice Principal Ms. Aarti Shorey Bhat, teachers, and students. With folded hands and reverence, all present sought the divine grace of Goddess Saraswati, reinforcing the belief that knowledge and wisdom illuminate the path to success.
Adding a colorful touch to the festivities, the youngest students of Grades Nursery, LKG, and UKG were dressed in bright yellow attire, symbolising energy, prosperity, and positivity. They also carried yellow-colored food in their tiffins, signifying the vibrancy of spring and the warmth of the occasion. The entire school campus resonated with joy as children gleefully participated in the celebrations.

One of the most awaited moments of the event was the traditional kite flying activity. Students and teachers alike took to the open skies, filling them with an array of colorful kites. Under the golden rays of the sun, the sky transformed into a mesmerising canvas of fluttering kites, spreading joy and excitement among the participants.
Addressing the gathering, Principal Mr. A.K. Sharma extended his heartfelt wishes to all and spoke about the significance of Basant Panchami. He enlightened students about the deeper symbolism of Goddess Saraswati, explaining the meaning behind her four hands and her two mounts – the swan and the peacock. He encouraged students to embrace discipline in their studies, set clear goals, and plan their lessons systematically to achieve success in life. His words served as a guiding light, inspiring young minds to strive for excellence with dedication and perseverance.
Vice Principal Ms. Aarti Shorey Bhat, along with the teachers, also extended their best wishes to the students, emphasising the importance of knowledge and learning in shaping a bright future.
