Apeejay School of Management excels in business quiz

Secures third position out of 338 teams in competition organised by Hyderabad Management Association

First year PGDM students from Apeejay School of Management (ASM), Shashank Agrawal and Leena Raheja, secured third position in ‘Grad Quiz’ competition organised by Hyderabad Management Association (HMA). 

A total of 338 teams had participated in this two-day business quiz competition for undergraduates and postgraduate students. The two-day competition included three rounds:- Preliminary, Second Shortlisting and the Quiz Final.

Participants in the first round had to crack an online written test of 50 MCQs in 30 minutes. 25 teams were shortlisted for the second round. “The second round was very rigorous. We were asked questions in different formats from diverse topics including economy, brand taglines, marketing, personalities, etc,” says ASM student, Leena Raheja. 

Subsequently, five teams made it to the final round. The teams faced questions from the quiz master, Dr Chetan Srivastava, Associate Professor, School of Management Studies, University of Hyderabad. 

Winning the title of ‘Quiz Masters Team’ and a cash prize of Rs 5000, Shashank expressed his gratitude to ASM, “I would like to thank the Apeejay School of Management for providing us with such a great platform and massive opportunities to enhance our skills. It was a great exposure with lots of learning involved in this journey. I would say it’s a step towards preparing us for a competitive environment. Special thanks to our faculty for their guidance and faith in us. My teammate Leena has extended support throughout the quiz and our coordination helped us to win accolades for our institution.”

Leena added, “This business quiz competition was a one-of-its kind experience wherein we competed against more than 300 teams. The questions asked were not just tough but also interesting. It was a fun-filled learning experience.”
