What are your subject combinations at the Diploma Programme?

English, Spanish, AB Initio and Psychology are my Standard-level subjects and Business Management, Mathematics and Computer Science are my Higher-level subjects. I am keenly interested in Business Management and Psychology.

How has your experience been with the IB curriculum at Apeejay School, International?

The core components of the IB programme include the CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service), TOK (Theory of Knowledge) and EE (Extended Essay). With IB, I now have six subjects whereas with Cambridge Board I studied eight. The teaching methods are different in both and since my association with Apeejay, I have been very happy. The school faculty is very helpful and friendly. The student-teacher ratio is excellent and that is why the amount of engagement a teacher has with his/her student is great. I get to learn a lot in my classes.

Are you currently looking at study abroad programmes for higher education?

Yes, I would like to study abroad after the completion of my school if I get the opportunity. Apeejay School International is helping me with university fairs in which numerous colleges and faculty from across the world have introduced themselves and their courses to us. Through the school, I am getting to know about the eligibility criteria and rules in different countries. I am looking to pursue a course in Law in Canada, Singapore and Ireland, going forward.

How has your experience been on the school campus post-Covid-19?

It is great! In the online classes, the interaction level was decent but the in-person attention is very helpful. Face-to-face teaching has made my productivity levels go up.

Do you think the IB curriculum has allowed you to grow as an individual?

Yes, very much. My critical-thinking and social skills have improved a lot and the school has helped boost my confidence. I have become a good communicator since my enrollment and the new curriculum has helped me tap into my hidden potential. CAS activities at school have kept me engaged. Last year, I was part of a mass cleanliness drive and even now, I am working towards raising awareness on the issue of malnutrition in children in collaboration with a non-governmental organisation.
