Apeejay remembers Smt Rajeshwari Paul on her birth anniversary

Commemorating the 98th birth anniversary of Shrimati Rajeshwari Paul, wife of Founder-Chairman Dr Stya Paul, Apeejay College of Fine Arts (ACFA) organised a function showcasing her love for Arts in its campus. Dr  Neerja Dhingra, Principal of ACFA, and Mr Girish Kumar, Principal of Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg offered floral tribute to the First Lady of the Apeejay Stya Group. 

Dr Sucharita Sharma, Director, Apeejay Education Society also graced the occasion. 

On this occasion, Dr Neerja Dhingra read the message shared by President Madam, Mrs. Sushma Paul Berlia, in the loving memory of her talented mother. 

Smt. Rajeshwari Paul was herself an artist with an ahead of time vision to include art in the education curriculum in order to facilitate the holistic development of young learners.

In remembrance of Smt. Paul’s love for art, a line of cultural activities were held. The Performing Arts Department at ACFA presented melodious bhajans to pay tribute to the noble soul. A ghazal “Meri Maa Ki Duaon Ka Asar” depicting the strength of mother’s blessings was sung by Dr. Vivek Verma from the Music Vocal Department. An enthralling performance by students of Department of Music Instrumental playing sitar and tabla mesmerised the audience. It was followed by a scintillating classical dance performance by students of P.G. Department of Dance. 

Sharing her thoughts, Dr. Dhingra said, “On the 98th birth anniversary of Smt. Rajeshwari Paul, I pay my humble tribute to the noble lady who is the inspiration behind all our art-related endeavours. She had an abiding love for both performing arts and visual arts. Mrs. Paul, wife of our revered chairman and mother of our respected President Mrs. Sushma Paul Berlia, will always be the guiding light for ACFA to soar higher and higher.”
