Young learners of Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri, celebrate the special bond they share with their grandparents
Recently, Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri, celebrated Grandparents’ Day with warmth and enthusiasm, bringing together students from Nursery to Class II and their beloved grandparents for a memorable day of love, laughter and togetherness. The celebration honoured the invaluable role grandparents play in nurturing young minds with affection, wisdom, values and life experiences.
The programme commenced with the auspicious lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolising the illumination of knowledge, positivity and togetherness. The ceremony was attended by the school dignitaries, grandparents and members of the school community, setting a serene and meaningful tone for the celebrations.
The young learners then delighted their grandparents with a series of vibrant performances. Through energetic dance presentations, melodious songs, and engaging acts, the students expressed their love and gratitude for their grandparents. Their confidence, enthusiasm and innocence won warm applause and affectionate smiles from the audience, beautifully capturing the special bond shared across generations.
The celebration also featured a range of fun-filled games and interactive activities specially organised for the grandparents. Their enthusiastic participation added excitement and cheer to the occasion, as they joined the young learners in reliving playful moments and creating cherished memories. The venue resonated with laughter, applause and joyful interactions throughout the event.
The programme also highlighted the significant contribution of grandparents in shaping children’s emotional and moral development. Their unconditional love, patience, guidance and stories of life continue to provide children with a strong foundation of values and belonging.
The celebration concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Dr Vasishtha, who expressed gratitude to the grandparents for their presence, blessings and continued support. He also appreciated the efforts of the teachers and students in making the occasion special.
“Grandparents are the cherished custodians of family values. Their presence in a child’s life provides wisdom and a strong emotional foundation. I congratulate our young learners for their delightful performances and thank our grandparents for their enthusiastic participation. I appreciate the teachers and staff for their dedicated efforts in making this celebration memorable,” he shared.
