Recently, Apeejay School, Noida, organised the much-awaited Rocksport Adventure Camp for students of Classes III to V within the school premises. The camp saw enthusiastic participation from 180 students and offered a carefully planned mix of adventure, learning, and teamwork. The aim was clear. To help children build physical endurance, confidence, and problem-solving skills through hands-on experiences.

The day began with a detailed orientation session led by trained instructors, under the guidance of the In-charge for Preparatory Years, Ms Apurva Gupta. Students were briefed about safety rules and activity guidelines. Clear instructions helped create a secure environment where children could participate freely and confidently.

Adventure in action

The camp featured a range of age-appropriate activities that challenged both body and mind. These included the zip line, commando net, laser beam challenge, Burma bridge, rope ladder climbing, and more. Students approached each task with excitement and determination. Instructors closely monitored every activity, ensuring safety while gently encouraging students to step beyond familiar limits.

Between activities, students enjoyed wholesome meals that kept their energy levels high. The well-planned schedule allowed them to stay engaged throughout the day without feeling overwhelmed.

Beyond the thrill, the camp offered meaningful lessons. Each activity helped students understand the value of teamwork, resilience, coordination, and self-belief. Problem-solving came naturally as children learned to navigate obstacles together and support one another.

An engaging magic show in the school auditorium added a lighter, joyful moment to the day. Laughter and applause filled the space, reflecting the students’ excitement and sense of achievement.

Reflections and takeaways

The camp at Apeejay School, Noida, concluded with an interactive reflection session where students shared their experiences and learnings. Many spoke about facing fears, trying something new, and working as a team. It proved to be a rewarding experience. It reinforced the importance of experiential learning in shaping confident, capable, and curious young learners.
