Dr Neha Berlia, Convenor of the CII Delhi Panel on Education, Co-Promoter, Lead-Education Vertical, Apeejay Stya & Svran Group, Pro-Chancellor of Apeejay Stya University, eloquently championed an integrated, inclusive, and future-ready educational ecosystem at the 9th CII Delhi Education Summit 2026, themed Delhi 2030: Building the Global Knowledge Capital, held at Hotel Le Meridien, New Delhi.

Welcoming the assembly, Dr Berlia affirmed Delhi’s extraordinary latent promise as a global nucleus of education, research, innovation, and talent. Artificial Intelligence and allied technologies, she maintained, must be integrated with purpose and discernment, yet never at the expense of the humanistic core: Values, imagination, critical inquiry, and ethical reflection.

Invoking the rich inheritance of Apeejay Education, an institution built upon the visionary ideals of its Founder-Chairman, Dr Stya Paul, and borne forward with vigour under the leadership of Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairman, Apeejay Education, and Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University, Dr Neha Berlia insisted that true education reaches beyond degrees and employability to shape character, kindle creativity, uphold integrity, and awaken social responsibility. Education, she reflected, must equip the young not simply for jobs but for the whole of life, a belief that lies at the heart of the Apeejay educational ethos.

Presiding over the session, School to University: Building Delhi’s Future-Ready Education Pipeline, Dr Berlia championed unbroken continuity from school to university, skilling, and livelihood. She called for robust synergy among schools, universities, and industry, enriched by experiential learning, internships, career counselling, and pertinent curricula, so that students may meet emerging opportunities with confidence.

Dr Berlia spoke of the need to strengthen foundational learning, digital readiness, innovation and entrepreneurship, none of which, she said, will count for much unless access to quality education is equitable.

Delhi will become a global knowledge capital, she reaffirmed, only through lasting collaboration among government, academia and industry, held together by forward-looking policy and a shared commitment to excellence.

Dr Berlia closed with a challenge to the Summit: Its deliberations should lead to action and to partnerships that last, carrying Delhi towards its 2030 goals.
