A celebration of values and vision marks Founder’s Day
Apeejay School, Tanda Road, commemorates Dr Stya Paul’s 107th birth anniversary with prayers and awards for moral values
Apeejay School, Tanda Road, Jalandhar, commemorated the 107th birth anniversary of its Founder-Chairman, Dr Stya Paul, with a celebration that reflected his vision of education rooted in values and excellence. The occasion brought his ideals into focus, reminding students of the importance of character, responsibility and the pursuit of one’s aspirations.
The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by shradhanjali and devotional bhajans offered in remembrance of the Founder-Chairman. The proceedings also featured devotional and folk dance performances, which added a cultural dimension to the tribute.
Remembering the Founder’s vision
The theme, Soaring High is My Nature, reflected Dr Stya Paul’s belief in aiming high while remaining grounded in moral values. It encouraged students to pursue their ambitions with determination and integrity.
A special video presentation offered glimpses into his life and legacy, highlighting the ideals that continue to guide the school’s educational philosophy.
The school Principal, Dr Rajesh Kumar Chandel, read out the message of Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairman, Apeejay Stya & Svran Group, Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University, and Chairman, Apeejay Education. Her message highlighted Dr Stya Paul’s vision and the timeless values that formed the foundation of his educational mission.
Recognising students for moral values
An important part of the celebration was the presentation of the Dr Stya Paul Award for Moral Values to Aadhya Kapoor and Ehan Sharma of Class VIII. The students were recognised for their exemplary character and commitment to moral values.
The Principal and In-charge Ms Simranjit Kaur felicitated the awardees. Their parents also shared their thoughts on the occasion, lending a personal touch to the recognition.
The celebration concluded by reaffirming Dr Stya Paul’s vision of nurturing individuals who combine academic aspirations with strong moral character and a sense of responsibility towards society.
