‘I feel assured about my daughter’s journey at Apeejay School, Nerul’

Having shifted to Navi Mumbai last year, this parent was looking for a good school for her daughter. She was recommended to choose Apeejay School, Nerul. “I was told that this school has excellent academics with the right balance of extracurricular activities. Looking at the track record, I finally enrolled Nyra here; she is now in Class III,” Astha Jain shared in a candid interview.

How has her journey been at the school so far?

It has been one complete year now, and I have seen good progress in my daughter during this time. She has settled into the school environment well and seems comfortable with her teachers and classmates. The teachers have been very supportive, and the staff has also been helpful whenever needed. As a parent, that makes me feel assured about her journey at the school.

How has your experience been with the teachers and staff?

My experience with the teachers and staff has been very good. The teachers are supportive, and the staff is also helpful. I feel that the school maintains good communication with parents, and that makes the overall experience smooth. The parent-teacher coordination is good as well. I get regular feedback from the teachers about Nyra.

What was your first impression of the school?

When I first visited the school, I went mainly to the office, and my first impression was very good. The office staff was welcoming and helpful. Since the school was about to start at that time, I could not see the classrooms properly. Later, when I visited for the PTM, I got a better sense of the school environment. The atmosphere felt comfortable, and I could see that the teachers were attentive towards the children.

How is she doing academically?

She is doing well academically. Her teachers have told me that she is good, very understanding, and a quiet girl. She is also very active. Her writing is very good, and the teaching at the school is also very good. She is very good at sports. It is nice to see that she is doing well not only in studies but also in other activities.

What changes have you seen in her since she joined the school?

She has become more independent. She is very close to her friends, and her conversation skills have improved. Her English has become very good as well. She speaks in English confidently. I have seen a positive change in the way she expresses herself at home, too. She is more comfortable sharing her thoughts and talking about what she learns in school.

How do you find the school in terms of safety?

The school is good, safety-wise. The safety protocols are in place. As a parent, I feel comfortable sending her to school because the environment feels safe and well-managed. The school also seems careful about maintaining discipline and looking after the children during school hours.
