Recognising academic excellence is essential to inspire students across the school community and celebrate the values of hard work, focus, and discipline. Among the top achievers in the Non-Medical stream at Apeejay School, Saket, two names have emerged with distinction this academic session – Ayushmaan Gupta and Priyansh. While Ayushmaan secured an impressive 86.6% in Class 11, Priyansh followed closely with a notable 80.4%. Both students are currently pursuing Class 12 with a clear vision for their future goals.

Priyansh:

“My interest in science started in childhood,” says Priyansh, reflecting on what drew him towards the Non-Medical stream. “I’ve always been curious about how things work, so pursuing it further felt natural.” This deep-rooted fascination continues to guide his academic journey.

Priyansh shares that among all subjects, Physics and Chemistry appeal to him the most. “They are more visible in the real world and a bit easier for me compared to Mathematics,” he explains honestly. “Though I must say, all subjects are important and deserve equal attention.” With a practical mindset, he has been able to build strong conceptual clarity while also maintaining a balance between school and self study.

Disciplined study routine and a clear goal

Managing academic pressure and self-study requires a strong routine – and Priyansh has one in place. “There’s no magic trick. I just do what others preparing for JEE have done – limit screen time, solve new types of questions instead of rote learning,” he shares. He believes success comes from focusing on quality learning, not just quantity. For him, the guidance of teachers and the use of reliable reference books are more valuable than endless online lectures.

What keeps him going is his ambition “to crack JEE Advanced,” he says with quiet confidence. With a disciplined approach, genuine interest in science, and a sharp focus on his goal, Priyansh sets a powerful example for his peers.
