Events like CODE Alumni Meet strengthen alumni bonds with their alma mater, foster mentorship opportunities for current students, and celebrate shared achievements. They provide a platform for networking, inspire innovation, and encourage collaboration across generations, contributing to the school’s legacy while motivating students to pursue excellence and community betterment.
Recently, Apeejay School, Noida, celebrated its second CODE Alumni Meet enthusiastically. The event served as a platform to honour the school’s former digital experts and foster mentorship opportunities for future innovators.
The programme began with an introduction to the prestigious CODE Club, established in 1999, which has been instrumental in nurturing technological talent. The inaugural ceremony featured a traditional diya-lighting ritual, accompanied by pious shlokas, to seek the blessings of the Almighty. A nostalgic journey unfolded as a heartwarming video, ‘Journey of CODE Club,’ prepared by the 2024 CODE team, highlighted the club’s growth, achievements, and contributions.

‘The meet envisions celebrating the legacy of 26+ years of Digital Excellence and achievements of the club while fostering a strong connection between alumni and current students. It aims to provide a platform for alumni to share their experiences, mentor aspiring technologists, and inspire innovation and growth. By showcasing success stories and discussing emerging trends, the event seeks to highlight the club’s pivotal role in shaping tech-savvy individuals and driving digital transformation. Furthermore, it emphasizes giving back to the club through knowledge sharing and resource contributions, ensuring its continued success as a hub of creativity, learning, and inclusivity’ shares Ms. Sujata Bhardwaj, HOD Computer Science.
The event’s highlight was the inspiring interactions with CODE alumni, who shared their experiences and success stories. Their narratives stood as a testament to the school’s vision of imparting quality education with global dimensions, fostering both personal growth and nation-building. The alumni emphasised that their early exposure to technology through CODE Club activities and competitions enhanced their skill sets and leadership abilities. They praised the club’s inclusive approach, which offered opportunities in diverse areas like photography, image editing, audio composition, video production, app development, and software creation.

These experiences shaped their professional journeys, enabling them to excel in fields such as research, development, filmmaking, cybersecurity, robotics, engineering, and generative AI. The alumni’s success underscored the vital role of technological education in empowering students to carve a niche in various domains.
Principal, Mrs Ritu Kohli, expressed her pride in the alumni’s achievements, remarking on how they continue to uphold the school’s mission of contributing to society. She highlighted the importance of responsible technological learning and commended the alumni for their efforts in fostering innovation and progress. Vice-principal, Mrs Amrita Hajela, announced the formation of the CODE Alumni Body, led by Mr Manish Gurnani, a 1996 graduate, as President, supported by Vice-presidents and Board Directors from various batches. The alumni body aims to strengthen mentorship initiatives and inspire the next generation of technocrats.
