As candidates gear up for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2024, scheduled for December 15, 2024, experts recommend effective strategies to achieve a score above 120. With the CTET admit card expected soon on the official CBSE website, candidates should stay updated on the latest announcements.
The CTET consists of two papers: Paper I for teaching classes I-V and Paper II for classes VI-VIII. Each paper includes sections on Child Development and Pedagogy (CDP), Language I and II, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies (for Paper I) or Science/Social Studies (for Paper II).
Here are seven strategies to excel:
Deepen Knowledge of Learning Theories: Familiarise yourself with key theories such as Piaget’s and Vygotsky’s. Understand how they apply in classroom settings.
Language Skills: Enhance grammar and comprehension abilities. Focus on child-centered language teaching methods, especially phonics and critical thinking.
Mathematical Proficiency: Concentrate on essential topics like geometry and algebra. Use visual aids to clarify concepts and employ mental math techniques.
Environmental Studies Insights: Study environmental science topics deeply. Connect concepts across disciplines, integrating history and geography for comprehensive understanding.
Time Management: Allocate specific time for each section. Start with questions you know well to build confidence, leaving tougher questions for later.
Mock Tests: Regularly practice with timed mock tests to familiarise yourself with exam conditions. Review mistakes to strengthen areas of weakness.
Organised Study Plan: Create a structured study schedule and practice mindfulness to maintain focus and positivity leading up to the exam.
By implementing these strategies, candidates can enhance their chances of success in the CTET 2024.
