Young skaters roll to victory at this school

Intra-class Skating Competition showcases agility, confidence, and sportsmanship among Classes III to V at Apeejay School, Noida

Physical fitness and skill-based activities play a crucial role in the holistic development of children. Events like skating competitions not only enhance agility and balance but also instil discipline, confidence, and team spirit in young learners. Recognising the importance of such initiatives, the Primary Department of Apeejay School, Noida, recently organised a thrilling Intra-class Skating Competition for students of Classes III to V.

The competition, designed to promote physical dexterity and competitive spirit, began with preliminary rounds conducted during regular Physical Education periods. One boy and one girl from each section were shortlisted to represent their class in the much-anticipated final rounds. 

The showdown for Class III and IV was held on different days, followed by the grand finale for Class V.. Each day saw enthusiastic participation, with students showcasing excellent control, speed, and poise on skates. Their performances were a testament to their hard work, determination, and consistent practice.

In Class III, Aadit Kumar Sonker (III-B) secured the first position among boys, followed by Devansh Sharma (III-D) in second place and Hridaan Tandon (III-A) in third. Among the girls, Farisha Khan (III-A) claimed the first position, with Waahi Arya (III-A) and Neysha Gupta (III-B) taking second and third positions, respectively.

For Class IV, Vinayak Attri (IV-B) emerged victorious among boys, while Namish Agrawal (IV-A) and Saatvik Aggarwal (IV-E) bagged second and third positions. In the girls’ category, Sharanya Negi (IV-A) took the lead with the first position, followed by Enaya Goel (IV-E) and Jiyaa Aggarwal (IV-B). 

The finals for Class V witnessed some intense competition. Rananjay Rajora (V-A) clinched the first place among boys, with Pathikrit Basu (V-B) and Yuvaan Dushad (V-C) following closely behind. In the girls’ category, Bhriti Parihar (V-A) shone bright with the first position, while Pakhi Mittal (V-D) and Ishita Arora (V-C) secured second and third places, respectively.

Therefore, a special assembly was later held to serve as the perfect platform to celebrate the young achievers, who were felicitated with medals for their outstanding performance. The event not only highlighted the school’s commitment to holistic education but also left students inspired and motivated for future endeavours.
