Recently, Apeejay School, Saket, participated in the Twinning Cultural Exchange Programme, bringing together 30 students from the school and an equal number of students from Government Girls Senior Secondary School (GGSSS), MB Road, Pushp Vihar, for a vibrant celebration of culture, creativity and togetherness.
The programme provided a meaningful platform for students from both schools to interact, exchange ideas and appreciate each other’s cultural backgrounds through the universal language of dance. The event was marked by enthusiasm, colourful performances and a spirit of camaraderie, reflecting the importance of building connections beyond the boundaries of classrooms.

A major highlight of the programme was the series of dance performances presented by the participating students. Both schools showcased three captivating performances each, offering glimpses of their artistic abilities, creativity and cultural diversity. The performances enthralled the audience with their energy, rhythm and expressive movements, while providing students with an opportunity to showcase their talents and learn from one another.
Beyond the stage, the exchange programme encouraged meaningful interaction among students, fostering friendships and nurturing a sense of belonging. By participating in shared activities, the students experienced the value of collaboration, mutual appreciation and respect for diverse perspectives.
The initiative also highlighted the significance of cultural exchange in school education. Such programmes help students develop confidence, teamwork and self-expression while creating opportunities to understand different experiences and traditions. They encourage young learners to embrace diversity, challenge social barriers and recognise the common values that unite communities.

The interaction between the two schools underscored the importance of inclusive educational experiences in shaping socially aware and empathetic individuals. It reinforced the idea that learning extends beyond textbooks and that meaningful engagement with peers from different backgrounds can broaden perspectives and strengthen interpersonal relationships.
“The world is a paradise. Witnessing the children from across the two parallel schooling systems. Learning together and being groomed together is a sight to cherish. Well done, team!” Dr Sujeet Eric Masih, Principal of the school, shared.
The Twinning Cultural Exchange Programme concluded on a heartwarming note, leaving the students with cherished memories, new friendships and a deeper appreciation of cultural diversity. More than a celebration of dance, the initiative served as a reminder that shared experiences can bring people closer, fostering harmony, understanding and a lasting spirit of unity.
