Young dancers take centre stage at Apeejay School, Tanda Road
Rhythm, confidence and creativity mark solo dance competition as students showcase grace and energy
Recently, Apeejay School, Tanda Road, organised the Solo Dance Competition 2026 for students from Classes I to VIII. The event gave young performers an opportunity to present their talent before an audience and express themselves through movement, music and rhythm.
The school came alive with energy as students took to the stage one after another. Each performance reflected careful preparation and the confidence to perform independently. The participants presented a range of dance forms, including classical, contemporary and folk.
A platform for expression
The competition was not limited to showcasing dance skills. It also encouraged students to develop stage presence, creativity and self-belief. Performing alone before an audience requires focus and courage, especially for younger students. The event gave them a supportive space to overcome hesitation and enjoy the experience of being on stage.
