UGC bestows Jalandhar-based Institute with a new honour

A moment of pride for Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus (AIMETC) in Jalandhar that has been included in the UGC 2(f) list of colleges under UGC Act, 1956. 

This is a significant achievement for AIMETC as this recognition comes with numerous benefits. It will further help AIMETC to establish more and more collaborations with other universities and learning institutes, and will open up opportunities for students and faculty to participate in various academic programmes and workshops.

Sharing his views on this achievement, Dr Rajesh Bagga, Director at AIMETC, highlighted, “This is a significant achievement, and it’s a testament to the hard work and dedication of our faculty, staff, and students. It will also open pathways to receive grants from the University Grants Commission for research projects, infrastructure development, and other academic activities.”

He further emphasised, “I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mrs. Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairperson of Apeejay Education, for being a pillar of constant support for everyone at Apeejay. Under her able leadership, guidance and vision, the Institute has achieved various significant milestones in recent years. Her vision and commitment towards Apeejay Education have played a pivotal role in making AIMETC a leading institute in this region.” 

Dr Bagga also highlighted, “As we celebrate our 25 years journey of success this year, it is worth mentioning that it’s only because of Late Dr. Stya Paul Ji (Our Founder Chairman and source of Inspiration for all of us at Apeejay Education), who laid the foundation of AIMETC in 1997, the Institute has grown multifold by providing quality education, state-of-art infrastructure and excellent placements to its students.”

In the last 25 years, this premier institute offering quality education through its various programs, has won several awards, recognitions, accreditations (including NBA and NAAC).

At present, AIMETC is offering more than 30 modules of value-added courses, 10+ multidisciplinary skill development courses (MSDC) along with course-wise corporate training programs (CTP), cross-skilling programmes (CSP) and skill enhancement programmes (SEP). These interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary courses are being offered as per the latest guidelines of New Education Policy (NEP 2020). Also, these courses have contributed in overall personality development and growth of students, which has resulted in achieving excellent placements and various merit positions in the universities across the globe.
