In a vibrant display of creativity and learning, Apeejay School, Nerul organised a special programme for the students of class 2 on the theme ‘The Earth and Seasons.’ The aim of the event was to instill an understanding of the significance of each season and its relevance to daily life.
The programme commenced with an enlightening speech delivered by the young participants, each shedding light on the distinctive attributes of spring, summer, autumn, and winter. These young speakers not only shared informative insights about the seasons but also underscored the values associated with them – growth, warmth, change, and reflection, respectively. This set the tone for a deeper exploration of the natural world and the interconnectedness of life’s cycles.
A vibrant rendition of the ‘Seasons Song’ followed, adding a musical touch to the event. Accompanied by charming dance performances, students energetically represented their chosen season, making the learning experience enjoyable and interactive. The event not only fostered a sense of artistic expression but also encouraged students to cultivate a profound connection with nature and the dynamic rhythms of the changing seasons.
The enthusiasm among the students was palpable as they actively engaged in the program, donning captivating attires that vividly represented the unique characteristics of each season. Armed with materials found at home including cotton, leaves, paper cuttings, and clothing items symbolising different seasons, they skillfully brought their chosen season to life through creative expression.
The culmination of the event was marked by a delightful feast, where students indulged in an array of delectable treats associated with the various seasons. This provided a tangible and delicious connection to the lessons of the day, enhancing their understanding of each season’s unique characteristics.
The activities undertaken during the programme nurture creativity, learning, and enjoyment among the young learners. By encouraging students to actively participate and engage with nature’s beauty, the event successfully promoted holistic development and a deeper appreciation for the world around them.
