‘This school teaches its students in an informative manner’

Why did you choose this school?

It is a family legacy for us. My sister-in-law’s kids have studied at this Apeejay branch; they are doing well in life which made me realise that something must be unique about this school. Moreover, I have watched many YouTube videos of other alumni who have spoken highly about Apeejay. Word of mouth and other recommendations helped me make the right choice for my daughter.

What are her favourite activities?

Eliza is a very active kid. She loves to indulge in all kinds of extracurricular activities. She participates in every function held at school whether it be the annual function or any topical day celebration.

Changes in her since she joined this school.

She has grown in a really good and positive manner. The credit for the same goes to her teachers who have guided her in the right direction. She takes an interest in studying as well as indulges in other activities at her own pace. The good thing is that I don’t have to force her to do anything.

How do you balance your child’s screen time with her homework?

I stay firm in my choices especially when it comes to nourishing her cognitive skills. My daughter is obedient and barely uses gadgets. However, if she is bored and wishes to play on the gadget, I try to engage her in creative activities to distract her. I have a set of storybooks for her. Other than that she spends her spare time with Jolly Phonics which is a great way to keep your child engaged.

How do you encourage your child to read at home?

It is very difficult yet important to make a child study or read. But as a mother, I follow a unique approach to reading. It is essential for parents to get involved with children and create a friendly environment for them. I tell her the importance of reading. I have also curated some hand-made cardboard cards, to infuse playful learning experiences.

Are PTMs held regularly?

PTMs regularly take place at Apeejay School, Charkhi, Dadri. I make sure to attend all the PTMs. It is essential for a parent to closely monitor the performance of their child.

Any specific strategies that you think the school follows to develop good study habits?

Apeejay School is one of the best schools in Charkhi, Dadri. They teach their students in a very informative manner along with the active use of explanatory methods. One of the best highlights is that they make innate use of projectors. This helps a child to see, understand, and learn very quickly.

My daughter loves going to school and is able to match the pace of studying. In this rapid-paced world, information is something that is constantly evolving. Keeping the same in mind, it is essential for students to learn every bit of it from the very start.

Parenting mantra that you follow.

This is the age when a child starts learning. They copy what their elders will do. Active involvement of parents while creating a friendly environment is a must for every parent.
