To induce better learning for students, it is important that the atmosphere of the school be welcoming, friendly, and must be able to boost students’ emotional well-being. Every parent looks for an appropriate school that fosters a sense of belonging in their child.
Bhawna Rani, a devoted mother of Saransh and Labhansh, students of nursery and class I respectively studying at Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri talks about how contended and satisfied she is with the school for both her kids.
“The teachers are the real creators here who have helped transform my children’s confidence and self-esteem,” Rani said.
Excerpts from the interview
What made you choose this school for your children?
Our family has a long-standing tradition of enrolling our children in Apeejay School. It’s a legacy we’re proud to continue. We explored other schools for our kids as well, but our visit to Apeejay impressed my husband and me. We found everything to be well-organised — from the language and communication standards to the curriculum, followed by the teachers.
What are their favourite activities at school?
Saransh and Labhansh are quite similar. They both have developed a great interest in dance. Although they have been active in other extracurricular activities, dancing remains their first love.
Changes in their behaviour since they joined the school?
Earlier, my children used to remain quiet and reserved. Since they started going to school, they have become active and confident. Moreover, they have also become more disciplined.
Are you satisfied with the school and its teachers?
Yes. I am very satisfied with the teachers and the unique curriculum followed here. My kids are progressing at a really good pace. I could not have asked for better schooling than Apeejay for both of them.
How do you encourage them to read more?
My kids are very ambitious even though they are very young. They wish to become police officers. To help them achieve their goals, we teach them that it is very important to study and understand concepts. That’s how they feel motivated to learn and gain knowledge.
Are PTMs held regularly?
Yes. I have been very active in interacting with teachers regularly. For me, their studies are a priority. Hence, I don’t miss any chance to keep a check on them and their progress.
How is this school helping your kids develop good study habits?
Apeejay School stands out as one of the finest educational institutes. I would like to give credit to the remarkable teachers and their innovative teaching techniques.
The teachers here are approachable and foster a warm and friendly learning atmosphere. Their frankness, along with their unwavering support, greatly contributes to my children’s enhanced learning experience.
What is your parenting mantra?
It is very important to know about the nature and the mindset of your child. If he is not ready to learn at a particular time, no matter how hard you try, the force will not motivate them to study. My mantra is to make the child feel comfortable and help him engage in any creative activities and once you have built the trust, the child himself will be interested in learning or even obeying your instructions.
