This is the hope of every nation

The magic word ‘patience’ is the key to having a peaceful society. Why? Because a peaceful society requires tolerance, positive thinking and the ability to retain one’s emotional equilibrium.

So, in my eyes, peace means expressing phrases such as “I am sorry”, “I love you”, “I forgive you” to avoid conflicts.

But the question is, when and where can you feel peace? Is it attained in holy or spiritual places? No, you can feel peace almost everywhere. It exists at all places of the universe.

In a peaceful environment, all the good and positive things are possible. Whereas, in the absence of peace, we cannot achieve anything, either as individuals or a society.

Also, peace is the hope of every nation. It is the promise of every politician, the pulse of every religious tradition and the desire of every beating heart.

When I think about peace, I imagine a blue sky with a rainbow stretched across it. Others may think of the beach, mountains, their partner, animals and other relaxing things.

Peace is also what makes our country and the world a decent and safe place to live in. I believe that peace can be maintained in a nation only when every individual is treated equally and respectfully. Respect towards each other’s cultures can surely contribute to peace and brotherhood.

Besides, peace is important in everyday life in many ways. You may even earn some peace in return for your kindness. You could be peaceful by walking away from drama, being generous to others, talking out your problems instead of using violence, respecting different races and cultures and accepting everybody as one.

But most importantly, what we ought to do is to start saying “YES” to peace.
