India has been a free and independent country for over 75 years now, self-ruled and at liberty, without interference from outside forces. Citizens of India are free and united and have the opportunity to pursue the best of their interests. Any citizen with their undying love for their country, irrespective of their religion, gender, caste, colour can contest for elections and govern the country.
On the occasions of Independence Day, India holds a phenomenal parade, demonstrating the tremendous power of the nation and also showing the world its unique cultures and diversity. In our strength, lies our unity and that unity
is the primary reason we are free and are able to express ourselves. This was shown during our collective struggle against the British and our eventual victory.
Our ancestors believed in the principle of Swaraj and united for a single cause. We children, as the future of this country should also take part in believing in the
principle of Swaraj and freedom. To this day, we celebrate our pride in Swaraj and every child is taught its importance in school. Our recent developments in the economic and political front have been an indicator of how well we adjusted Swaraj in our life. And it also shows that how it is a basic value of our
Indian society.
The principle of Swaraj has also been adopted by many philosophers and writers worldwide, spreading its word internationally. The quote will always be in our hearts eternally, and Swaraj will always be our birth right.
