How has your journey been the school?
My journey has been exciting and full of learning. I’ve learnt how to ask meaningful questions, collaborate with others, and take action on causes I care about. It has also helped me become more open-minded and confident. The most important attribute I have learnt is being open-minded.
How has being open-minded helped you every day?

At first, I wasn’t very active in school. I didn’t ask questions or get too involved in making projects. But in PYP-5, that really changed. I became more open-minded. It helped me build my confidence, and now I ask better questions and take part more actively. At least now, I feel more confident and involved.
Which activity do you enjoy the most?
Out of all activities, I enjoy dancing, painting, and singing the most. These creative activities make me feel happy and allow me to express myself in different ways.
Is there any attribute you think you can improve in the next years of your IB journey?
I still want to improve my sense of balance because sometimes I focus too much on playing instead of studying. I think making a timetable will help me stay more balanced and disciplined with my studies. My school has also helped me become a better communicator by giving me opportunities to work in groups and give presentations.
What topic did you choose for your exhibition, and who helped you with its research?
I chose ‘How to save the oceans using technology?’ My teachers and parents help me a lot with improving my communication skills. They encourage me to speak, share my ideas confidently, and guide me whenever I feel unsure during group work or presentations.
What did you learn from the field trip that connected with what you were studying?
During our last field trip, we visited the Science Museum, where we learnt how energy is produced. It was connected to our unit on renewable energy, which made the experience even more meaningful. It helped me understand the concepts better and do well in my science exam.
What is the most memorable moment you’ll cherish from PYP-5?
We did a really fun activity where we made solar ovens using cardboard boxes and foil. We cut the boxes, lined them with foil to reflect the sunlight, and placed them under the sun. Then we used them to bake marshmallow cookies! It was a part of our school project connected to the unit on solar energy. After lunch, we got to eat the cookies and enjoy the results of our experiment — it was both fun and a great learning experience!
